Bgirl Mantis

One of our values in CYPHER Queenz is to offer workshops by renowned Bgirls from all over. As they bring their wisdom and expertise we love to see our local scene built up and continuing to grow. We want to thank Mantis for being a part of this value and what wyou will be sharing with us!

Mantis is a Brooklyn native repping Full Circle Souljahs crew. She has been breaking for over 15 years and has performed at venues such as Joyce Theater, Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center and danced for artists LL Cool J and MC Sha Rock. She has competed locally and over seas, most recently winning the 2023 NYC Redbull regional. She is also the founder of @Bgirl_herstory, a project to document the stories of Bgirls who have contributed to the NYC Break Community from its emergence to today through interviews and pannel discussions.
